Daniel Radcliffe goes to the dogs in hairy SNL skit about Casey Anthony's new pooch

Daniel Radcliffe had a dog gone good time on Saturday Night Live as he pulled off a bit about Casey Anthony's new pooch on Weekend Update.

The Harry Potter star appeared as Anthony's recently adopted dog, a Yorkshire Terrier, for an interview with Update anchor Seth Meyers.
Dressed up in a terrier-style wig, Radcliffe suggested the doggie adoption agency that supplied the pet needs to tighten up its screening process.

He joked that they should have told Casey that they 'were out of dogs.'
The unfortunate pet also revealed: 'When I go to the dog park, none of the other dogs will play with me because of Casey's background.'

The skit was a take on one of Casey's recently released videos where she revealed she's adopted a puppy.

That wasn't Daniel's only light hearted moment, as the star hosted the show and delivered a personal message to Potter fans.
He said to the films' young fans: 'Your enthusiasm was the real magic, and I so enjoyed being on the journey with you.'
And to the adults, Radcliffe pointed out: 'Those books were for children. You were reading children’s books.'

The 22-year-old English actor also took aim at the different people who've played Harry Potter on SNL including Bill Hader, Hugh Jackman, and funny woman Rachel Dratch.

Daniel asked that the show retire its Harry Potter-themed sketches, but behind him were the 'Jersey Shore Hogwarts,' featuring Snooki played by Bobby Moynihan and Hader taking on The Situation.

While Radcliffe received relatively good reviews from fans and arm chair critics alike, the show's musical guest Lana Del Ray wasn't so lucky.
